Our New Endings
The father does not agree to rescue Shmuel.
The father and three other soldiers came into the changing room and saw Bruno, the father shouted “Bruno, What the Hell are you doing here? You are not supposed to be with these filthy Jews!” “I’m here with my friend Shmuel!” said Bruno, “Come with me, back to our house!” said the father. “But what about Shmuel?” said Bruno “He’s my friend, he should come with us!”, “No! This Jew can’t be your friend, he has to stay here, come now or I will remove you from here!” father said, “No!” said Bruno, then father gives a short order to the 3rd Soldier who then took the boy out of the chamber, while the other two are pushing the people backwards with their guns. They went out, the people were forced into a smaller chamber and the door was closed, after a short period of time their voices disappeared.
Bruno didn’t know what happened to Shmuel, but he was sure they didn’t take a shower, there were guards who kept an eye on him, so he had no chance to find out. His father told him nothing about what happened there in the smaller room.
Short after that day, they were driving home to Berlin. And Bruno never heard of his friend again, later Bruno was sure Shmuel is not alive anymore. But he never forgot him.

The father came into the changing room, he sweated all over. He saw Bruno standing in the middle of all the other men. Bruno could see the anger and panic in his eyes.
“Bruno! What are you doing here?!”
“I’m here with my friend, Shmuel! I wanted to see where he lives and wanted to help him searching his father!”said Bruno.
“You aren’t allowed to be here! Come on, this is no place for you. These are all just dirty Jews!” replied father.
“No, I won’t go without Shmuel!
Father didn’t listen to Bruno, he gripped him at the arm and pulled him out of the room. Shmuel only could look and let it happen. Bruno screamed and tried to hit his father, but father didn’t react. The father dropped Bruno on the wet ground. “Where is Shmuel!”screamed Bruno,”get him out of there!”
“No” father replied without showing empathy “you won’t speak to this Jew scum anymore!”
Bruno was send away the next day. Father decided it were the best if he would join in a camp of the “Hitler Youth” to learn the behavior of a real German man.
It was never heard something of Shmuel anymore.
The father agrees to rescue Shmuel with Bruno
Shmuel only wanted to be with his father. But it could not happen because Shmuel’s father died. When Shmuel learned it, he cried and went with Bruno. When they came home the mother was very happy but when she saw Shmuel she hunted him out of the house. Shmuel ran away and Bruno ran with him. The father cried to the mother and went to Bruno. Both friends went to Pavel. Pavel hid the boys. When the father came Pavel told him the story where they are. The mother was at home and cried so loud that the father heard it. When the father found the two boys he took them home. The father explained the history why Shmuel came with them to the mother. Father said what intelligence and knowledge he had. The mother understood it. After a week they all went to Berlin and the father and Shmuel went with them. In Berlin, Shmuel and Bruno went to the school. In the school in Berlin, Shmuel was the cleverest boy in his class. After five years, soldiers came and took Shmuel, Bruno his father away. They were shot by the Fury.
